LIL BOOSIE SET TO BE RELEASED, AND EVERYBODY WANTS TO SIGN HIM

Rapper Lil Boosie was locked up at the peak of his career and sentenced to eight years for drug charges. But the light at the end of the tunnel is finally approaching. The rapper from Baton Rouge, LA., is due to be released in August of next year. Lil Boosie, whose birth name is Torrence Hatch, is scheduled for release on August 18, 2014. Following a number of rumors with regard to the rappers actual release, this date seems to be the real deal as it was posted by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, as reported by Rolling Out. Incarcerated back in 2008, Lil Boosie, was first in trouble for violating his probation, which stemmed from being caught with marijuana, as reported by Bossip. Two years later, the rapper was indicted on first-degree murder charges; however, he was acquitted of that charge last year. Lil Boosie is most popular in his region, but he has been able to expand his fan base while in prison. During his incarceration, the rapper released an aggressive social media campaign, which has resulted in millions upon millions of views on YouTube, #FreeBoosie being a regular trending topic on Twitter and his Facebook page garnering more than three and a half million likes. In previous interviews, Lil Boosie insinuated that following his release he was going to immediately get back to music. The good news is that should not be too difficult, as the rapper has reportedly received a handful of offers to help him do just that. One of those people making the offer is a Boss. In an interview with Power 105, Rick Ross commented on Lil Boosie’s release saying, “They telling me (he’ll be out soon).” He alluded to a potential music deal for the Louisiana rapper with his Maybach Music Group. “I’m going to put a bag on the table for that boy. You never know,” said Ross.
