Phyno denies impregnating upcoming singer

Phyno has denied impregnating an upcoming Nigerian singer who claimed the Igbo-lingo rapper is responsible for her pregnancy. In a recent widely-circulated press release singer Rita Edmond was said to be Phyno’s love interest. The release also claimed Edmond has been a huge benefactor of the rapper’s largesse and that when he (Phyno) discovered she was pregnant, he wanted her to keep the baby. Conveniently, Edmond, who plans to release her debut single soon, says she doesn’t want to keep the baby so there goes any baby bump to confirm if she’s truly pregnant. Phyno, however, says he has never spoken to the lady in question, let alone be responsible for knocking her up. ‘Believe it or not, I’ve never met or spoken to anyone by that name. I haven’t made any woman pregnant either. If people need three seconds of fame I’m glad that my name could help,’ Phyno told Jayne Augoye of Punch Newspapers. Nevertheless, other sources insist that the pair know each other way back from Enugu, where Phyno grew up.
